Spend a lazy day adjusting to the Sri Lankan climate. At a convenient time, drop by the closest city, Kandy, well known as the centre of Buddhism. Become acquainted with the city and pay your respects to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Some days Kandy skies seem perpetually bruised, with stubborn mist clinging to the hills surrounding the citys beautiful centrepiece lake. Delicate hill-country breezes impel the mist to gently part, revealing colourful houses amid Kandys improbable forested halo.
Back at the Ashburnham tea estate which surrounds Mahatenne, we suggest you follow the waterfall trail for a quick dip.
Day 3
Elkaduwa > Kandy > Elkaduwa

Head off to the tea fields with Ashburnham own field manager to see the leaves being plucked. Learn all about the planting and plucking process before heading back with the pickers to weigh the crop. Memale hike takes you to one of the last remaining tea picker villages within the cloud forest ecosystem of the Knuckles range. At the peak you . ll find a small Hindu temple devoted to Lord Kataragama and Kaliamma.
Day 4
Elkaduwa > Kandy > Ella
Take a scenic train journey admiring the views of waterfalls, forests, mountains, tea estates and villages Also visit the famous Ella waterfalls after the journey and see it cascading downhill peacefully. Check into your scenic eco-friendly hotel with the best views.
Day 5

Highlights : Little Adams peak with sunset views, Rawana caves walk, 9 Arc Bridge trek
This 5-hour hike gives you a chance to experience the Sri Lankan countryside in a hike up to the summit of Little Adamâs Peak and on a cross country hike across to Demodara Railway Station. See the great views from the summit of Little Adams Peak, followed by the astounding sunrise or sunset. Walk over the famous Nine Arches Bridge with its rampant history. Hike to the Demodara Railway Station and see the unique looping railroad, a piece of architecture that is only present at Demodara in Sri Lanka.
Day 6
Ella >wellawaya
Highlights : Paddy field cultivation, Diyaluma waterfall view
Transfer to Wellawaya after a leisurely breakfast. Upon arrival check into the incredibly characteristic resort which is based all around the authentic paddy field cultivation and astounding nature trails with waterfalls at the end.
See the paddy field cultivation and see the farmers going on with their lives which revolve around the farm and paddy fields.
Day 7

Take a stroll through a nearby village passing rocky river banks and jungle footpaths to experience rural Sri Lanka and meet the villagers going about their daily lives. Visit Kirindi Oya river and enjoy a dip and walk among the paddy fields. Walk around the lush jungles and see many endemic birds and animals that are nocturnal.

Take a stroll to Ella Wela waterfalls which is the most popular secrets around the area. This secluded waterfall is hidden in the gentle forests. The natural pool is a perfect place to have a refreshing dip. Furthermore visit Diyaluma waterfalls which is one of the highest in the country. This trek is a highlight and astounding!
Day 9
Galle
Stroll around the magnificent and historical city of Galle.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums. Wandering its rambling lanes you’ll pass stylish cafes, quirky boutiques and impeccably restored hotels owned by local and foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers.

Galle > Air port
As all good things must come to an end, your chauffeur guide will comfortably take you to your beach hotel or else to the airport accordingly with pleasant memories
